NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that an election to be held in The VILLAGE OF DOWNING in the state of Wisconsin, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the following question will be submitted to a vote of the people:

Question: Under state law, the increase in the levy of the Village of Downing for the tax to be imposed for fiscal year 2026, is limited to 0.995%, which results in a levy of $33,805. Shall the Village of Downing be allowed to exceed this limit and increase the levy for the next fiscal year, 2027, for road repair/maintenance & operational costs, by a total of 44.1%, equaling to a $15,000 increase per year from 2027-2030?

A copy of the entire text of the resolution directing the submission of the question can be obtained from the office of the Village of Downing clerk and an informational meeting will be held at The Village Of Downing, 402 Main Street, Downing WI, 54734 on March 9, 2026 at 9 am.
